Dear Members & Associates of the DAV Family,
With great pride and privilege, I share this news with you: we have completed 36 glorious years of our existence. DAV Berhampur now stands on the threshold of its 37th year of establishment, effective from 15th February 2025. Over the years, DAV Public School has become a force to reckon with among the educational institutions in Berhampur.
As a student, you are a proud DAVian; as teachers, we feel honored and revered; as parents, you feel joyful; and as well-wishers, you eagerly look forward to seeing the school grow even further.
Having reached the pinnacles of glory with outstanding academic results across DAV institutions nationwide, we are humbled and yet immensely proud of our school’s achievements. These include the National Teachers’ Award (2013), CBSE Teacher Award 2020, the Prime Minister’s Shield Award (2012), the Rajiv Gandhi Pratibha Puraskar, the National School Sanitation Award (2011), the National Award for Vivekananda School of Excellence, National Level NCC Scholarships, Sanskrit Scholarships, CBSE Girl Child Scholarships, Sports Scholarships, and, more recently, National Karate and International Taekwondo Championship medals.
I urge you, my students, to develop purity in thought, action, and effort in all that you do, striving for a well-balanced personality in every aspect of life. You must be symbols of excellence and aim to be at the “Top of the World” always. Incidentally, this journey begins with academic excellence—by becoming the topper in your class.
To achieve academic success, one must develop good speed in reading and writing fluently in all three languages: English, Hindi, and Odia/Sanskrit. Learn with understanding, emphasize self-study, and follow the success mantra: RWRSS—Reading, Writing, Reciting, and Self-Study.
Respect your parents and request them to explain concepts to you once again at home to reinforce your learning. When you understand how each aspect of your education helps in real life, your knowledge will become permanent. Remember, the good habits you develop at school will stay with you lifelong and help shape you into responsible citizens.
Go forth, discover your own world with relentless effort, shine like pearls, showcase your talents to the world, carve your own space, and reach the pinnacles of success. Ultimately, it is your own effort and perseverance that will help you break free from the cocoon of childhood and ignorance, allowing you to transform into a vibrant, colorful butterfly ready to take flight.
Wishing you all the best, as always.
Mrs. Dharashree Padhi (Principal)
